I started in the Cat Fancy in late 1991 when I started working for a Lady who bred Persians, Colourpoints and Westies. I instantly fell in love with the Persians and knew I just had to have one. So early in 1992 I got my first breeding Queen’s, a Blue Tortie Persian and a Blue Tortie Colourpoint. I started Showing in the latter half of 1992. In 1995 I trained as a Steward so I could learn more about all the different breeds that were being shown and also learn about how shows were run. In 1997 I started breeding British. In 2000 I attended the ACF National in Qld where I stayed with a friend who had an Exotic Shorthair. Once again I fell in love and my heart was stolen by these beautifully big teddy bears. Just 7 months later I had my first desexed Exotic show boy. I knew I wanted to breed these beautiful teddy bears so made the difficult decision to stop breeding the British. I started my Group One Judge’s training in 2005, then I moved onto Group Three and finally Group Two, becaming an Open All Breeds Judge in 2019.
