I began breeding and showing Burmese under the prefix Riordan in 1993, in the UK. These were the days when entries were large and competition was fierce, however, I had success relatively quickly, breeding a Champion in my first litter and a Grand Champion in my second. Several my cats won Best of Breed at the Supreme show as well as the Burmese Cat Club show and I achieved UK Grand Champion status (at that time the highest title) with several of my Burmese. UK GD CH Riordan Irresistible was runner up Kitten of the Year All Breeds in 1998.

In 2006 I moved back to Perth, bringing several cats with me. Introducing prominent Australian lines proved successful and my cats won All Breeds Kitten of the Year in 2007 and 2013 and Diamond GD CH Riordan Venus Rising was All Breeds Cat of the Year in 2009. I have lost count of the number of Supreme in show winning cats I have owned or bred. Over the years I have also enjoyed exhibiting at various National Shows, both at home and around the country, with several group wins, including Overall Best Group 3 Kitten with Riordan Nirvana at the 2013 ACF National in Melbourne. For a short time, I also showed Foreign Whites achieving multiple Best in Group and Supreme wins.

I am also a successful breeder of pedigree dogs, breeding Japanese Chin under the Chincasa prefix. My dogs have won Best in Group in several states, with one of my youngsters winning his first All Breeds Best in Show recently.

For the past few years exhibiting my cats has taken a backseat to allow me to progress my judging. I have been judging Group 3 since 2016 and recently (May 2021) completed my Group 2 junior assignments which will allow me to apply for All Shorthair status. I am currently progressing with my Group 1 training and hope to progress to All Breed status in due course
